East meets West. Or West meets East. Either way, Hawaii’s located at a crossroads of various cultures. This museum is an ode to that diversity. Spanning the globe, its collection includes a 16th-century gilt-bronze Buddha, ancient Assyrian cuneiform tablets, a host of European painting and, of course, Hawaiian art – from feather capes to 18th-century pencil portraits.
900 S Beretania St, Honolulu, HI 96814
